Your Team

As a (Sr.) Manager in our Employment & Reward Tax Services team, you will advise Swiss and international clients on all aspects of employment related tax and social security matters. You will manage client engagements end to end, lead project teams, and contribute to business development and practice building. The role combines Swiss technical expertise, cross border advisory and reward structuring, in close collaboration with HR, finance and legal stakeholders of our clients.

Your Impact

  • Shape cross-border employment tax and social security solutions for Swiss and international clients, advising on international workforce structures, special work arrangements, employer obligations and multi-country reporting requirements.
  • Design tax-efficient employment, compensation and reward structures for employees, senior executives and board members, including employment cost projections, equity and cash incentive plans, and practical guidance for HR, finance and legal stakeholders.
  • Guide clients through Swiss employment tax and social security matters, including withholding obligations, equity plans, pension and social security contributions, compensation policies, tax rulings, authority interactions and compliant employer practices.
  • Enable sustainable reward program implementation by establishing plan rules and policies, preparing ruling requests and tax communication, advising on Sell-to-Cover mechanics, reporting obligations and Swiss withholding requirements.
  • Lead complex advisory, including corporate restructuring and transaction-related projects.
  • Lead engagements from scoping to delivery, budgeting, WIP, billing, risk and profitability.
  • Develop trusted client relationships and a strong Employment and Reward Tax practice by coaching junior colleagues, contributing to proposals, pitches, RFPs, market activities, thought leadership and collaboration across service lines and jurisdictions.

Your Skill Set

  • A university degree in Law, Economics, Business, Finance or a related field, combined with strong expertise in Swiss employment taxation, social security and reward-related advisory matters.
  • Typically, six to eight years of relevant experience in tax advisory, employment tax, compensation, reward, global mobility or a related field, ideally gained in a professional services firm, consulting environment or law firm.
  • Proven ability to manage client engagements and small teams, including project planning, prioritisation, technical review, budget control, WIP management, billing discipline, risk management and high-quality deliverable preparation.
  • Strong technical and practical understanding of cross-border employment structures, Swiss withholding obligations, equity compensation, social security, pensions, expense policies, incentive plans, tax rulings and employer reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills, with a collaborative coaching mindset, commercial awareness and confidence contributing to business development, proposals and client relationship growth.
  • Native-level proficiency in German or French plus strong English skills, together with proficiency in Microsoft Office and an interest in using AI-enabled tools. A Swiss Certified Tax Expert diploma or equivalent tax qualification and additional languages are advantageous.
