Legal Counsel Asset Management

Your tasks

  • Become part of PwC's Flexible Legal Resources and join our mission to change the way of delivering quality legal work to our large network of clients
  • You will work on a staffing contract to provide you with full flexibility on your part- or full-time assignment
  • You will support our clients from the financial services industry (mostly large international banks) onsite or remote on in-house legal & compliance matters regarding Asset Management (cash and non-cash asset classes)
  • You will advise on and manage all aspects of complaints and continuous issues
  • You will supervise and manage external legal counsels in litigation matters as well as regulatory and enforcement proceedings
  • You will monitor legal and regulatory developments of all asset classes and their impact on the clients' business
  • You will initiate and facilitate internal legal projects
  • You will be working in an international environment across Switzerland

Your profile

  • You have obtained a law degree in Switzerland (e.g. MLaw, Master in Law, lic.iur.)
  • An additional law degree (e.g. LL.M.) from a recognized international university is a plus
  • If you are a foreign national you hold a valid Swiss working permit
  • In-house experience at FINMA and/or experience in FINMA involved processes and procedures is a must
  • You have some in-house experience (3-8 years) in the Asset Management division of a large bank, family office or private equity fund located in Switzerland with exposure to different emerging markets (e.g. Luxembourg, offshore countries)
  • You are experienced in applying GWG and other capital market relevant national and international laws
  • Strong project management skills and experience would be appreciated
  • You are perfectly fluent in English (with excellent writing skills) and speak German and/or French on a mother tongue level
  • You also have strong communication and organizational skills and are able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
