- Advise senior leadership (CFO, CIO, CDO) on positioning IT organizations for sustainable growth through ESG-aligned strategies and frameworks.
- Design and implement global operating models and green IT architectures that prioritize energy efficiency and sustainable resource use.
- Conduct comprehensive carbon footprint assessments of IT services and establish measurable reduction targets to minimize environmental impact.
- Integrate ESG factors into technology vendor management and corporate governance frameworks to foster eco-friendly partnerships and sustainable growth.
- Collaborate with clients to enable transparent and accountable ESG reporting and compliance within their IT ecosystems.
- Drive the system-side implementation of sustainable IT initiatives by selecting technology solutions, defining data models, and overseeing deployment.
Your Skill Set
- At least 8 years of experience in IT consulting, with a strong focus on sustainability, ESG, and governance, ideally gained in a Big 4 or leading consulting firm.
- Extensive expertise in sustainability topics, including ESG-based products, sustainability strategies, regulations (e.g., taxonomy regulation, disclosure regulation), ESG control, integrated risk models, and ESG data providers.
- Strong commercial acumen, with proven experience in identifying client needs, developing tailored solutions, driving sales, and converting opportunities into long-term client engagements through compelling proposals and presentations.
- Solid understanding of technological sustainability and reporting solutions, such as SAP, Workiva, Salesforce, Sphera, or Enablon.
- Advanced degree in IT, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic foundation.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills, coupled with a willingness to travel for client engagements and projects.
